Chaplain Joseph Bannon, Ph.D. received his Doctorate Degree in Theocentric Clinical Psychology from Saint Mark Seminary and College which is accredited by the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church - Department of Education. He was inducted into the Academy of Chiropathy by the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church in 2005 as a “Fellow.” In 2006 an ordination and blessing was bestowed upon him as a Theocentric Healer by the Synod of Governing Bishops. He remains a licensed member in good standing with the Commission on Religious Counseling and Healing (Commission License - 1404).

He is certified as a Police Chaplain by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.), through The California Practical Chaplain Association (CPCA). As a Critical Incident Stress (PTSD) Debriefer, he is certified by the State of California, The (CPCA), and The Ontario Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

He served (12) years with the San Francisco Police Department’s Behavioral Science Unit and Peer Counseling Group as a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer for military veterans, police officers, and their families. He is a current member in good standing as a “Professor Emeritus” with the National Academy of Neuropsychology as well as the American Association Of Christian Counselors.
