Retired Special Agent Joseph Bannon has more than (30) years experience in The Protective Arts Fields - both as a senior academy instructor at Executive Security International (ESI), and as a law enforcement officer and government special operator. He has designed protection programs for both private and government sectors. He was awarded the Department of Justice “Exemplary Service Award” for his prototype design of the personal protection detail for the Attorney General in 2000. This team consisted of (55) special agents utilizing motorcades, a counter assault team, helicopter and fixed wing aircrafts, advance teams, undercover and intelligence operators, a command post, and counter surveillance assets. He also functioned as Tactical Commander (TC) and Counter Assault Team (CAT) Commander throughout the duration of the protective mission.

As a fusion task force agent counterpart, Bannon has been assigned to the United States Secret Service Presidential Protection Detail, as well as the Protective Intelligence Division under (3) U.S. Presidents and their First Ladies - as well as foreign visiting dignitaries, heads of state, and royal families from around the world. He was formerly assigned to the FBI Witness Protection Program, and the San Francisco Mayor’s Protection Detail. Upon retirement, he was inducted into the American Police Hall of Fame.

Protective Arts Training, Consulting, and Red Cell Operations are offered for military, private military contractors, specialized law enforcement units, and private sector protection agents whose mission it is to provide executive protection and or protective intelligence. This training is only offered in group settings when sponsored by either a bonifide private entity, church organization, law enforcement, or government agency. We do not offer classes to individuals unless they are representing one of the above organizations. (Please see below):
